Breve explicação das fotografias
As fotos publicadas no nosso blog, durante o mês de Junho e Julho, dizem respeito ao IIº Simpósio Internacional de Escultura que decorreu em 2008 na Vila de Odemira. Têm como objectivo, mostrar aos futuros participantes os trabalhos realizados pelos artistas durante a sua estadia. Brevemente iremos também colocar imagens do Iº Simpósio.

III INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF SCULPTURE
ODEMIRA – PORTUGAL 2010
1st Article
General Conditions
1. The Symposium is to take place in the town of Odemira, along the bank and walkway of the Mira River, between the 14 and 28 August.
2. The duration of the event will be of 15 days.
3. The sculptor should arrive in Odemira by the 14th August in the morning and should remain in based in the area until the event comes to an end.
4. A panel of judges will be formed to select the participating artists.
5. The panel of judges will be made up of two members from the Sopa dos Artistas Association and two members from the Municipal Town Hall of Odemira.
6. From a total of six participating artists, four will be selected. Two of the six artists will be invited by the organizing entity.
2nd Article
Requirements
1. Each sculptor should submit along with his personal identification documents (name, address, nationality, telephone number and e-mail address) his curriculum vitae and portfolio. It is not recommended to mail the portfolio via the internet or the presentation of works through websites.
2. The sculptors must submit a list of the materials and tools required for the execution of their work. This list should take into consideration regionally sourced materials (e.g. wood, clay etc.) or materials offered by companies supporting the event, e.g. metal/iron and stone.
3. These details should be sent, by no later than the 30 July 2010, either to the Câmara Municipal de Odemira, Praça da Repúbilica, Gabinete da Cultura, 7630 Odemira, or to the Associação Sopa dos Artistas, Apartado 21, Seladinhas, 7630-908 São Teotónio - Portugal

Tools / Materials
1. Each sculptor will be able to work with his personal tools, however the organization, in as much as is possible, will undertake to supply some tools, so long these are requested in advance and agreed to by both parties.
2. In accordance with the service requirements, an assistant will be made available to see to any eventual necessities of the artists.

Accommodation and Meals
1. Accommodation will be in a local guesthouse, covered by the organizing body.
2. Meals will be covered also by the organizing body.

Participation Awards
1. On completing the work each sculptor will, at the end of the Symposium, receive 600€ .The work produced during the Symposium belongs to the artist. The work has to stay 2 years (up to next
symposium) . Then it can either be left in a space within the Municipality or taken away (at own expense).

Exhibition
1. At the end of the Symposium an exhibition of the works produced will be inaugurated supported by a catalogue.

4. Die Juri besteht aus zwei Mitgliedern des Vereins „sopa dos artistas“ und aus zwei Mitgliedern der „Câmara Municipal de Odemira“, der städtischen Verwaltung.
5. Es werden von insgesamt sechs Symposiumsteilnehmern vier Künstler von allen eingegangenen Bewerbungen zur Teilnahme ausgewählt. Zwei weitere Künstler sind von der Organisation geladen.

Jeder Künstler muss neben seinen persönlichen Angaben (Name, Adresse, Telefonnummer und E-mail Adresse) einen Lebenslauf und eine Mappe mit Fotos von bereits gefertigten Arbeiten der Bewerbung beifügen. Die Zusendung dieser Unterlagen kann nicht über das Internet erfolgen. Zudem ist es nicht gestattet, die Arbeiten via Website zu präsentieren.
2. Die Künstler sollten eine Liste anfertigen in der klar ersichtlich ist, welche Materialien und Werkzeuge zur Erstellung der Kunstwerke notwendig sind. Diese Liste sollte die Materialien der Region berücksichtigen (solche sind beispielsweise: Holz, Lehm, Kork, etc.), oder Materialien, welche von Firmen gespendet werden, z.B. Eisen und Stein.

1. Jeder partizipierende Künstler erhält nach Abschluss des Symposiums und der erfolgreichen Ausführung des Werkes 600 Euro. Das während des Symposiums produzierte Kunstwerk ist Eigentum des Künstlers.Das Werk soll
zwei Jahre, bis zum kommenden Symposium 2012 stehen bleiben. Dann besteht die Möglichkeit das Werk in Odemira zulassen oder es auf eigene Kosten mitzunehmen.

Objectivos do simpósio
Á semelhança dos anos anteriores, a sopa dos artistas, associação local de artistas plásticos do Concelho e Odemira, em conjunto com a Câmara Municipal de Odemira e com apoios da De Walt, Black & Decker,Caixa de Crédito Agrícola e algumas empresas locais irão realizar o IIIº simpósio Internacional de Escultura, que tem como objectivos: dinamizar as artes plásticas no concelho, criar novos públicos e promover o contacto da população com a arte e os artistas.
IIIº Simpósio Internacional de Escultura de Odemira
Artigo 1º
Condições Gerais
1. O Simpósio será realizado na Vila de Odemira, junto ao Cais do Rio Mira e passeio pedonal, entre os dias 14 a 28 de Agosto.
2. O evento terá a duração de 15 dias.
3. O escultor deverá chegar a Odemira até ao dia 14 de Agosto, durante a manhã. Deverá permanecer neste local até ao final do evento.
4. Será constituído um júri de secção para a escolha dos artistas a participar.
5. O júri de selecção será constituído por 2 membros da Associação Sopa dos Artistas e dois membros da Câmara Municipal de Odemira.
6. Serão seleccionados 4 artistas.
Artigo 2º
Requisitos
1. Cada escultor deverá apresentar juntamente com os seus documentos de identificação pessoal (nome, morada, nacionalidade, nº de telefone e e-mail) o seu curriculum vitae e Porte Fólio em papel. Não é aconselhável o envio do porte fólio por internet, bem como, a apresentação dos trabalhos por via de websites.
2. Os escultores deverão apresentar uma lista com material e ferramentas necessárias para a execução da sua peça. Esta lista de material deverá ter em consideração os materiais da região (por exemplo, madeira, terra crua, etc.) ou materiais oferecidos pelas empresas que apoiam este evento, por exemplo, ferro e pedra.
3. Estes elementos deverão ser enviados até ao dia 31 de Julho de 2010, para a Câmara Municipal de Odemira, Praça da República, Gabinete da Cultura, 7630 Odemira, ou Associação Sopa dos Artistas, apart. 21, Seladinhas, 7630 – 908 S. Teotónio.

1. O alojamento será feito numa residencial.
2. A alimentação será assegurada pela entidade organizadora.

Prémio de participação
1. Cada escultor após o termo da obra, no encerramento do simpósio receberá 600 euros.
2. A obra produzida no simpósio será propriedade do artista, no entanto deverá o mesmo deixar a obra no espaço da exposição durante os dois anos seguintes.
